About the Hand Stitched Binding
Perfected in the 15th century, this type of binding was used as early as the 12th century by
monks. This is the method of sewing folded sections of paper (signatures) together over leather cords or cloth
tape. The hand stitched paper
(book block) is then bound permanently between boards and cured skins.
This type of binding
is permanent.
Each book is personally hand crafted to your

parchment paper.
